Hockeyroos have announced the Australian squad for 2025. We are excited to see that Southern United player Amy Lawton has been selected for the 2025 squad, here 6th year in the squad, a huge achievement for a 22 year old. Amy joined Southern as an 8 year old. Now based in Perth to be part of the Hockeyroos squad, it is always exciting when Amy has time in her Australian duties to play in our women’s team. The 17 person Kookaburras squad has also been announced with both Nathan Ephraums and Craig Marais selected in the small squad. An extended squad has been also named, see the details here
The Australian Indoor team has been selected for the 2025 World Cup in Croatia and Southern’s Connor Tuddenham has been selected.
The Australian Development squad for women has also been announced with 20 year old Josie Lawton selected again for the development squad. Josie has been part of Southern from a 9 year old, and continues to play as part of our Women’s premier league squad.
Also selected in the Aus development squad is Olivia Downes. Olivia played all her junior hockey at Southern United through to under 21.
