HOCKEY………a great sport for young and old.
We are inviting children 6 years and up, to our FREE Come & Try sessions at our Kingston Heath Pitch and to join our great Hookin2Hockey Program 2021.
We would love you to bring your youngster along to find the joy of hockey.
There will be 3 Free Come & Try sessions on Friday 5 – 12 – 19 February between 5.00 – 6.00 pm at Farm Road.

Our exciting Hookin2Hockey program will have a more flexible format in 2021.
Children can attend Friday afternoon (5.00-6.00 pm) sessions or Saturday morning sessions (9.00 -10.00 am).
The Come & Try session of the Hookin2Hockey program will take place on Friday 26th February and/or on Saturday 27th February.
Our Hookin2Hockey program will run for 6 sessions
- Friday afternoons: 5.00 – 6.00 pm: 26 February, 5 – 12 – 19 – 26 March and 9 April
- Saturday mornings: 9.00 – 10.00 am: 27 February, 6 – 13 – 20 – 27 March and 3 April
All sessions will be at our Kingston Heath Reserve pitch at Farm Road in Cheltenham.
Cost for the Hookin2Hockey program is $60. In addition a Hookin2Hockey pack containing hockey stick, ball, shin pads and back pack can be purchased on registration for $48

What’s after Hookin2Hockey?
After the 6 week Hookin2Hockey program there are lots of choices for the children, and parents. Most children will move on to the “stick2hockey” program which will vary based on the child’s age.
Children turning 8 in 2021 or younger
Children turning 8 in 2021 or younger can be part of the under 8 Stick2Hockey program. Running Friday nights at 4.45 at Farm Road, the children continue their skills development under the watchful, caring and fun eye of our experienced coaches.
There will be also the first taste of hockey games in a non competitive environment at the end of the training sessions.
The fee for our under 8 “Stick to hockey program” includes a SUHC fee, which covers the trainings in both term 2 and 3 and a small fee for Hockey Victoria (our governing body fee).
Children turning 10 in 2021 or younger
Children turning 10 in 2021 or younger can be part of the under 10 Hockey program.
Team training will be on Thursday nights at 5.30 at Farm Road, and the Quarter field games are on Saturday morning at Farm Rd at 8.20 am.
If your child is chosen to participate in the U10 Half Field competition run by Hockey Victoria your games will consist of home and away games; all Saturday mornings between 8 and 11.30 am.
The first round of games are scheduled for Saturday May 1st.
The fee for 2021 is the SUHC fee and a small fee for Hockey Victoria (our governing body).
Children turning 12 in 2021 or younger
Children turning 12 in 2021 or younger will be part of our under 12 program.
Team training days will be confirmed closer to the start of pre season but most probably for the boys on Thursdays, and for the girls on Wednesday, in term 2 and 3.
The games are on Saturday morning in a home and away type competition with the first game on May 1st. The competition runs through term 2 and term 3.
