JUNIOR hockey resumed on the weekend with the Southern United junior teams having great success.
The Under 16 girls played WestVic Hockey, a regional team based in Ballarat, at the State Netball and Hockey Centre and won 4-0 win with Molly O’Neill scoring two of the goals.
The other Under 16 teams also had a great round of hockey with three of the mixed teams recording wins.
The Under 16 mixed shield played a tough game at Footscray to finish with two goals to none, with Davin Walker scoring twice, to stay on top of the ladder.
The Under 16 pennant team remained undefeated after taking the points in a 1-0 win over second-on-the-ladder Knox, Hannes de Beer scoring one goal.
The Under 16 red team pulled out all stops to beat Mornington 3-1 with Mathew Hayes scoring twice and Sington Chan once.
