The U11 PSE team hosted the 2nd placed TEM on Saturday & started really well under a beautiful blue sky. This Southern side can be a bit jekyll & hyde and we never know which one we are going to get on the day, they have played really well against top sides yet at other times have struggled against lower sides & have also had some unlucky games & could easily be higher up the ladder.

Some terrific work in the first half from Zoe, Leon & Angus in our defense helped keep TEM scoreless in the first half and when the attack got past them our goalie Michael kept out a few serious shots on goal. Up front we had some great runs from Mees, Liam & Zac but couldn’t crack it for a goal either, the passing from Souther was mostly good but we did manage to give up some passes to the oppositon. 

The second half started the same with Southern making some really good passes and getting a great ball through the centre that Liam ran onto and beat the goalie one on one to go one up. As the time ticked down TEMs got more & more desperate to score & spent the last 15 minutes almost camped in our defensive 25, but our team never gave up and kept getting gthe ball out of the circle to deny the opposition a score. A great win for the team which showed them they do have the ability to play well if they put their minds to it, we might have to print out the words to the club song though as we were a bit rusty on it after the game.
