Lisa and Stuart Carruthers, parents of Olivia (under 13), Will (under 11), and Charlotte (minkeys) brought their Olympic gold medals and Olympic items for the under 11s to see on Thursday night. Lisa and Stuart spoke of their Olympic experiences and their early life in hockey, including Stuart’s junior years of hockey at Moorabbin.

Lisa is a two time Olympic Gold Medalist with the Hockeyroos in 1996 & 2000. Stuart is an Olympic Bronze medalist with the Kookaburra’s in 1996. Lisa competed in 3 successive Olympic campaigns including 1992 where they came 5th.

All children had a chance to wear an Olympic Gold medal for a moment, and hold a 2000 Olympic torch.
