Juniors
Under 8 / Under 10
With restructure of Under 8 and Under 10 hockey in Victoria in 2024, all under 8 and under 10 hockey will be venue based. With Southern as a venue, local clubs will play under 8 and under 10 hockey at Farm Rd on a Saturday morning. As we have seen over the last years a venue based competition makes life simpler and more fun for parents, children and officials and we look forward to the expansion of this program.
Southern United hockey for under 8s and 10s commences in 2024 with our hook in 2 hockey program kicking off for new and young players on Friday and Saturday 16/17th February, the Hin2H program will then for 6 weeks. Our under 10s will train on Thursday nights starting later in term 1.
If you have children interested in joining our hook in 2 hockey program or hockey for younger children please contact our co-ordinator Petra on suhc.hin2h@gmail.com
Under 12 – Under 18
A restructure in juniors will see juniors return to three grades: Shield (1st grade), Pennant (2nd grade) and District (3rd grade). Shield A has been expanded and Shield B removed. This will facilitate less travel with the pennant grades being regionalised. We are excited to have been allocated shield selection for Under 12 Mixed, Under 14 Boys, Under 14 Girls, Under 16 Boys and Under 16 Girls. We will also be fielding Pennant to District teams in Under 12 to Under 18.
We are always keen for new players, if you, your friends or children would like to be part of Southern United please contact Anna vis secretary@suhc.com.au
