After the plethora of Indoor state teams over the summer, the outdoor Australian Championships are getting closer, and with that Hockey Victoria have announced the under 16 and under 21 Victorian state teams.

The under 21 state teams include: Josie Lawton, Bec McNess and George Papadopoulos from Southern United.  It is exciting for our juniors that these stars are also coaching our junior teams. With Josie co-coach of the under 16 shield girls, George assistant coach for the Under 16 shield boys and Bec is co-coach on an Under 18 team. The Under 21 Championships are in Bendigo 3rd-11th May. The under 21 men are coached by our premier league coaches Neil Hodgson and Jesse Workman.

The under 16 state teams announcement includes Southern United Players Neve Hoult and Evan Laing-Peters. Neve is part of the 16 girls state team, while Evan is in the U16 boys development team. Two Southern players are also train ons: Taine Workman and Eva Redfern.
