Southern United Hockey Club

April 7th Peter Mac Big Match Day

It is hard to believe round 1 of 2018 is here.

Don’t panic. Round 1 of premier league is here, the first junior round  is not until 27/28 April, and the senior pennant/metro starts 14/15 April.

This Saturday – 7th April – is your chance to come and support our premier league teams while they take on Waverley at home at Farm Rd.  The teams had a great 2017, with the men playing two rounds of nail biting finals, while the women just missed a finals birth. Come and watch them start the season with a bang. The 25 degrees forecast is perfect to enjoy an afternoon watching some awesome hockey, while not running around fitting in your own or your children’s hockey.

More importantly, a chance to support our clubs chosen charity The Peter Mac Cancer Foundation.  For many of us at Southern United cancer is a reality, whether it is us personally fighting with cancer now or in the past, or whether it is family or friends, cancer is not just something out there, it is here. As a club supporting Peter MacCallum cancer foundation is a way all of us can help everyone out there that must deal with cancer every day, a chance to help find a solution.

Help us support Peter Mac with a gold coin donation to Nicolette and her helpers at the gate or with a tax free online donation to our Peter Mac fund at https://give.everydayhero.com/au/suhc-2018
Over the years we as a club have raised $65,000 for Peter Mac, let’s keep on helping.

While you are helping the wonderful Peter Mac with your donation, club sponsor McKenzie’s kindly matches the Peter Mac donation with a donation to our club – up to $10,000.

We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, let’s support our teams, while supporting Peter Mac.
The Premier League ladies play at 2pm while the men play at 3.30. The reserves ladies start the day at 12,30, while reserves men finish the afternoon with their 5.00pm game.
