The School Sport Victoria teams have been announced for the School Sport Australia Hockey Championships. Southern players Ed Nesbitt (u12), and Eve Carter ((U16) have been selected while Heidi Heath has been selected as emergency.
Josie Lawton and Rene Hunter recently played in the Australia A series against India A in Adelaide, while Dave McPherson, David Hammond, Dave Rosser and Tasmin Nelson played in the Trans-Tasman Masters series for Australia.
Nathan Ephraums and Amy Lawton have headed off to Europe with the Kookaburras and Hockeyroos for the last 22-23 Pro-League games while Craig Marais has also headed to Europe with the Burras as they prepare for the Junior world cup. While the Jillaroos have selected Emily Hamilton-Smith and Josie Lawton for training camp as part of their preparation.
The under 15 Victorian state teams head to the Australian championships during the school holidays. Southern’s George Papaopoulos, Bec McNess and Jaime Segbedzi have been selected for the Vic State team, while Larissa Boshoff and Puck Okhuizen have been selected for the Vic Development team.
