The indoor hockey season run at Skatewold by Hockey Equipe is now over with Southern teams taking out the premiership in under 12 and under 16. Southern had five teams in under 12, two teams in under 14 and three teams in under 16. This tops off a great indoor season for the club, after successful club championships in the October-December time frame, and the men’s team finishing runners up at MSAC, while the junior teams also competed in the shield competition at MSAC.
A huge thanks to all the parents, uncles, brothers and club members who took on coaching duties and to all our team managers. As always a thanks to the people who co-ordinated the age groups: Sally Connor, Allison Williams and Tina Papadopoulos.
The under 12 black team finished premiers with a win over Mentone in the grand final, while the under 16 silver team took the flag over the Under 16 red team.
