Southern United Hockey Academy & Development Program

Southern United Hockey Academy & Development program are on again in 2021.  A great way to improve your hockey skills and have lots of fun.

We pride ourselves on offering great programs that give our players the best possible chance to reach their full potential. 

Southern United Hockey Academy

Invites to the Southern United Hockey Academy have been sent out to:

  • Players who have played Shield level in 2019,
  • Were selected in Shield teams in 2020 (although the season didn’t go ahead the team selections were completed by the coaches),
  • Participated in JSC 2019
  • Participated in HV Academy (U13-U15-U18) 2019/2020,
  • Played HV state team (including train-ons) 2019,
  • Selected in a State team in 2020 (although tournaments got cancelled), a
  • Played SSV in 2019, and/or was an award winner at the junior presentation night 2019.

Hockeyroos star Amy Lawton encourages everyone invited to be part of SUHA to take up the oppurtunity.
Amy participated in the programs before coaching some of them over the past couple of years. Amy’s eagerness to learn, improve and develop has been a big factor in helping her get where she is now. She is a great role model for all aspiring hockey players out there!

Southern United Development Program

SUDP (Southern United Development Program) is a holistic 5 week pre-season program with a carnival final on Sunday morning 28 February.  This program represents a fantastic opportunity to develop your hockey further with an amazing group of coaches and a program designed for all levels of ability by our men’s premier league coach Jesse Workman.

SUDP is open to junior players of all abilities and will be grouped to ensure players are challenged within peer groups of similar age and ability.

We invite YOU to join our Southern United Hockey Development Program (SUDP) in 2021.

There will be a total of 5 Sunday morning sessions throughout the program and it will be finished with a carnival on Sunday 28th of February. 

  • 5 Sunday mornings 
  • Dates: 31 January, 7 – 14 – 21 – 28 February
  • Where: Farm Road, Cheltenham
  • Costs for players involved in this great Development Program will be $ 100
  • Register: BEFORE  28 January 2021
