Southern United Hockey Club Junior Development Program 2024/25 – reminder to enrol

 

All junior players/parents have recently received an invitation to join our new Junior Development Program via TeamApp.

The program, open to all Southern United Junior players (including under 18s)  is designed to provide players with small group coaching on key technical skills; physical stick skills and in game decision making skills.

Development will be under the tutelage of John Mowat, recently Education Manager at Hockey Australia, coach of numerous Premier League, Victorian Senior and under 21 teams and at the Victorian Institute of Sport and current Manager of the Hockey Club Melbourne Mens team. 

The program will delivered in two sessions:

 

• The first six groups of six players (i.e. only 36 places) will be delivered in November and December 2024 and February 2025 on Saturdays and Sundays, initially at Brighton Secondary College and then at Farm Road after Christmas when the new pitch surface has been installed.
• There will be further groups in February and March.
