The U11 PSE team took on the top team Hawthorn at Farm road on Saturday and for the first part of the game were holding their own. Hawthorn then started to get control of the game & could have gone quickly ahead but for some good defence and some great saves from Michael our Goalie. Luka had some terrific runs through the centre of the ground creating a few chances of our own but we couldn’t quite get a score. Hawthorn kept up their attacking game and went into half time 3 nil up despite some good defending by Leon, Kurtis and Zac.

We went into half time 3 nil down but played better than the scoreline showed. We came out strong in the second half and good work in the middle of the ground from Owen & Mees resulted in Liam getting loose up forward and having a couple of great scoring chances that just missed. A good solid second half from the team saw Hawthorn score only once, and we are unlucky not to get a goal or two going down 4 to Nil at the final whistle.
