The Under 11 PSE team travelled to the state hockey centre to take on Kew and for some kids it was their first time on the big stage which was very exciting.

Due to some late scratchings we started with just 10 players, but they started off really well with Luka, Liam & Mees doing a great job up forward & getting a couple shots at goal early. Nicole had her best game for the year & Max, Leon & Zac were doing really well holding out Kew’s attacks. Part way through the fist half Josh developed a dodgy hammy & had to go off but managed to get back on the ground & put in a great effort.

Kew went into the half time break one goal to nil up but we had some chances that didn’t quite come off. It went the same way in the second half with the team trying really hard but not quite being able to get the goals, Digby & Kester did really well making some good tackles & passes & along with the rest of the team never gave up. Kew managed to get another goal & despite having our own chances we just couldn’t snag a goal and went down 2 to Nil in a really close game that, with a bit of luck, could have gone the other way.
