Match Report: Womens State League 2 vs WestVic Round 3

Round 3 presented another challenge from a country side WestVic. We were prepared for a hard contest as Westvic don’t play any other way.

This week we didn’t have everything our own way and the game was a arm wrestle from start to finish. WestVic opened the scoring against the run of play which sparked the girls into action, we hit the 2 next goals and really dominated possession without making the most of our chances.

WestVic hit back and the score was 2-2 and we again had chances to finish the game but WestVic defended really well and counter attacked quickly.

It came down to last 3 minutes of the game when we converted a short corner by Tas it was hard fought game by both sides and we hope to improve on that effort this week against Yarra.
