Congratulations to David Finlayson and becoming our newest Life Member

At Southern United Hockey Club’s presentation night on 24 October 2014, David Finlayson was elected as a life member of Southern United Hockey Club.  Dave had a 20 year plus playing career with Moorabbin and was a club stalwart.  In particular, Dave’s life membership is a reflection of Dave’s vision and leadership in successfully bringing Sandringham and Moorabbin Hockey Clubs together to form Southern United Hockey Club in 2006.  As club President, Dave brought people together, built a management team and created a single club culture.  Dave was instrumental in the 2013 pitch upgrade and his drive for on field success has brought many great people to our club.  Southern United’s current success is direct reflection of Dave’s efforts and that of Jan, Lachlan and Olivia at our club.  Finno’s nerveless and objective approach whilst watching hockey was also celebrated.
