Round 15 Results Wrapup
This weekend saw the men take on top 4 placed Hawthorn (who seemingly forgot Southern’s colours are primarily red, “opps”) and the girls take on middle of the ladder Mornington. Both teams looking for better results than last time (Men down 3-2, Women drew 4-4).
With a few injuries the girls took on a new playing system which saw them confidently control the game to a 4-0 win. The mens game against Hawthorn went into the half 1-2 down representing the flow of the game. This was equalised in the second half and then taken to 3-2 up with well executed penalty corners. Unfortunately the day was not to be ours and Hawthorn managed two goals inside of 2 minutes in the dying moments of the half to steal 3 points with a 4-3 win.
For the reserves, perhaps Hawthorn are better swimmers… how about that weather! The girls only had to deal with an overcast game and ran out victors 7-0.
