Southern United Hockey Club and the Club’s major sponsor, McKenzie’s have entered in to an agreement with Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre to raise funds for Peter Mac. The Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre is Australia’s only public hospital solely dedicated to cancer. The Peter Mac is a world leader in cancer treatment, research and education. The Centre treats more cancer patients each year than any other hospital and has the largest cancer research group in Australia. There will be a gold coin donation to Peter Mac at each of Southern United’s big clubs days. There will also be other fundraising opportunities on these days including the facility for members and friends to make their own personal tax-deductible donations to Peter Mac, which will also be included in the SUHC total. Southern United’s big club days will be on Rounds 1, 6, 11, 14 and 18. People can also join up as a team member so friends and families can name you in their giving or just give anonymously. All donations over $2 will be tax deductible.
