Craig to National Junior Squad

Congratulations to Craig Marais who has been elevated to the National Junior Squad following a strong Hockey One campaign. Craig was the youngest member of the Hockey Club Melbourne team but oozed confidence and played with a maturity beyond his years. He scored possibly the goal of the competition too.

Honours for United Stars

It’s been a historic week for Southern United Hockey Club. Seventeen-year-old Amy Lawton, who while juggling Year 12 commitments at Haileybury College has played 10 games for the Australian women’s hockey team, has now been named in the Hockeyroos squad for 2020. In more exciting news, Nathan Ephraums, who travelled to the Oceania Cup with the Kookaburras as an emergency earlier this year, has been named in the Australian men’s hockey squad, the Kookaburras.
