Congratulations to Southern United players selected in the Victorian Indoor teams to play in the Australian Indoor championships at Wollongong in January.

Selection for Laura has topped off an amazing year for her, Laura was part of the under 12 SSV team, the victorious Under 13 Vic Blue team, train on for under 13 indoor at the start of the year, as well as part of the winning under 12 mixed shield team, under 13 and under 15 indoor club championships team. Laura also was awarded the Under 12 best and Fairest girl for the club.
Emily Butler has also had a strong year with under 12 SSV Cricket team at the start of the year, the under 13 Vic White team followed by a transition to a hockey goalie from field player, after playing in goals for the year for WNPL Southern United Football Club. Since that transition she has been selected in the HV Under 15 academy as a goalie, successful in the Under 15 indoor club championships team as a goalie, and in the u13 indoor club championships as a field player, followed by this, her first state selection as a goalie.
Josh Ephraums has had a year that only can be described as successful. Starting the year as part of the victorious Victorian Under 21 Indoor team, followed by the same success in the under 21 outdoor team. Josh as a coach for the club has been just as successful, coaching the Under 12 mixed shield team to premiership as well as being part of the coaching team for the under 13 indoor club championships team that was successful, and coaching the under 15 indoor club championships team to third.
Alice has been part of the under 18 indoor team at the start of the year, train on for the u21 outdoor team, as well as a member of the under 18 blue outdoor team.
For Josh Mulder the year has seen him selected in the Australian Futures squad as well as Emerging Vikings, as well as playing in the Under 18 Victorian team and the Southern Men’s premier league team. A great year for Josh.
Emily Hamilton Smith has had an amazing year. Part of the under 13 winning Victorian indoor team at the start of the year, followed by selection in the Under 15 Blue outdoor team. Emily has played in the Southern women’s premier league team all year as well as the under 14 mixed shield team, winning coach’s award for the premier league and best and fairest under 14 girl.
