Season of promise for Southern

IT was a big afternoon of hockey at Southern United’s home ground on Saturday with the club’s pennant teams playing at home. The women’s Pennant B team started a day of great hockey with a win against Doncaster. The scoreline of 3-0 did not quite reflect Southern’s control of the game. The women continue to hold top spot on the ladder with seven of the 18 rounds completed. The men’s pennant A side took to the field next against Footscray. After a frustrating draw last week, the Southerners were determined to redeem themselves, and that they did.....
