Indoor Club Championships 2019

Under 13 club championships finished with the girls having some great games to finish the day. The girls finished 6th for the weekend and the boys 5th. Also a huge thanks to Ewan Armstrong and Lewis Armstrong who helped the Border indoor team on Sunday. Thanks Sally for organizing this.

Senior presentation was a great success on Friday night. Helen Ward and Phoebe Willcock were awarded life memberships for their contribution to the club. Southern United’s men’s Premier league team is through to the grand final for a second successive season after winning the preliminary final against Camberwell. The prelim against hockey juggernaut Camberwell was a rematch of the 2018 grand final, and had just as much pressure, excitement and controversy. The 2-1 result to Southern pushed Camberwell out of the grand final, the first time it has missed the season decider since 2011.
